Welcome Home!

Grandma’s Hands New Mexico is more than just a nonprofit; it’s a tribute to a woman whose love, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to others shapes everything we do. You don’t have to do it alone. We will get you the help you need, whatever help you need.
The data is clear
New Mexicans are not getting the critical resources they desperately need.
40%
of New Mexicans struggle to access 8 of 14 essential services.

Here’s HOW we help
At Grandma’s Hands New Mexico, we empower individuals and families by providing resource navigation, culturally competent public health education, and advocacy. Our navigators connect people to essential resources through personalized support, including assistance with applications for social services like Medicaid, SNAP, and housing, as well as employment and income support. We aim to improve well-being and self-sufficiency by bridging the gaps between vulnerable communities and the resources they need.

We want to hear YOUR stories
This is a multi-generational storytelling project designed to honor the lived experiences, memories, wisdom, and legacies of Black women. We want to talk to Black & African-American women aged 60+. Please reach out to us if you or anyone you know is willing to share their stories.
